Snow storm picture!
Absolutely amazing!
Jackie L. sent me this picture of an incredible snow storm. From what she writes in her email, this picture was taken in 1972 just after several snow storms hit the Québec Province in a few weeks.
I did not know that so much snow could fall in the same winter!
Not that I doubt about Jackie who sent me this picture, but did that much snow really fell in Québec in 1972?

Yes, that much snow DID fall in ‘72. I was 6 years old living on Glenn St. in Pierrefonds (a suburb on the island of Montreal) and woke up one morning to a wall of white at the front door! The snow had gone past the level of the front door. It took our whole family (6 members) 3 days to dig out of our house just to reach the damn driveway!

Ain’t Fake….
Excerpt from Canadian Website about 2008 storm with 106cm of Snow.
“December was one of the snowiest in Montreal’s history, with an unofficial accumulation of 106.2 centimetres, according to Environment Canada. But that’s off the record of 118.5 centimetres that fell in December 1972.
We have to go back to the 1970s to see a snowfall like this,” said meteorologist Louis Allard, who has analyzed weather for 35 years.”
