Plane crash on an aircraft carrier?

A very spectacular picture of a plane crash on an aircraft carrier! Well, since I’m no expert on this subject, I can only guess that this happened on an aircraft carrier. But it sure does look that way, with the ropes that were supposed to stop the plane from going to far in case of an accident.

So if it is really a plane crash that occurred on an aircraft carrier, this is not good news for the pilot!

    With the tail-hook down, this aircraft missed the arresting gear. Thus causing the safety net to shoot up and capture the aircraft before it would have crashed into the ocean. It’s not funny. That net saved a mans life.
