Great! Air conditioning for tents! Well, it probably is not very silent, but it can be very useful in the hot summer nights!

Yes, it is a hot summer! Even the most conventional ways to refresh ourselves do not seem to work!

Waterparks are very fun and cool. We usually can have fun and play in lazy rivers, (water playgrounds, swim in wave pools, water slides, etc.

Water slides are without a doubt the most popular activities in waterparks. And for you today, here is the picture of a very, very long water slide!

I guess these guys know what they are doing, but I would not feel very safe under one of these…

You might have noticed that there has been very few updates on the Funny Potato website in the last few weeks? Well, there were good reasons for this. We were on vacations in Florida!
3 nice weeks of vacations, including 3 major stops :

Daytona Beach : For the beach and the for the final flight of a space shuttle, on July 8th 2011. It was the very last flight of a space shuttle with the launch of Atlantis for the STS135 mission. After 30 years, the shuttles are retiring to various museums in the USA.

Key Largo : For snorkeling trips, nature, fishing and a day in Key West to see it’s amazing sunset. For those who do not know, Key West is the southermost city on the Continental USA, at only 90 miles from Cuba!
Orlando : 18 months ago, we visited the 4 main Disney Parks in Orlando, so this summer we went to see the 2 main Universal Studios parks. 2 very nice parks, including the great « Harry Potter Forbidden Journey » ride in the « Wizarding World of Harry Potter » area of the Isand of Adventure Universal Studios Park.

Orlando being close to the Space Coast of Florida, we woke up at 5:30 on July 21th to hear the Double Sonic Boom of the Atlantis Shuttle when it came back to Earth! A huge BOOM BOOM!

So, we are now back home, I will now have m ore time to work on the Funny Potato website!

Not a good toss at all… A poll accident that must have hurt a lot!

Yes, animals sometimes find that summer days can be very hot! Heat is affecting them as much as us, sot hey also try to find places to refresh themselves. Here a a few funny pictures of animals in pools!

A very dangerous jump, in a small pool! It is an amazing video but this pool is way too far, and way too small for this to be real though… What do you think?

Here is a quick guide for pool maintenance. It is not as difficult as it might seem. Some say it requires lots of work, but it is not that bad.

Forget about what other website might write, such as the need to clean the pump, killing the algae with toxic products, removing leaves that fell in the water, checking the pH level, etc.

That is totally false. All you need to do is the following:

• Add water every week
• Add fertilizer from time to time
• Cut the grass every week or so.

Easy, right?

Here I am, back from vacations in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico! 2 great weeks, that explain why there was no update on the Funny Potato website. There were a few updates on the Funny Blog though, thanks to WordPress that offers the possibility to write blog posts schedules at a later time.

So, great vacations for the whole family in the Yucatan Peninsula! We went to see the Chichen Itza Mayan Ruins (picture below), the Tulum Mayan Ruins, snorkeled in cenotes, snorkeled with turtles at Akumal, etc!. We had a great time the whole 2 weeks!
